Today’s tour will begin at 08:00. This Hoi An countryside bicycle tour begins with a short transfer to get out of Hoi An’s town centre where the bikes wait for the morning’s excursion. Hop on and pedal through quiet laneways and country roads, crossing through rice paddies and vegetable farms. This is Vietnam at its best- quiet and charming. Pass by friendly locals who will smile and wave, see water buffalo lazily meandering through the fields and stop often for photos of the beautiful scenery.
Arrive at a village for a chance to learn about the local lives of Hoi An’s fishermen. Climb into a small, round bamboo basket and drift onto the water. Cast a fishing net in the traditional way- a tricky task that the locals will be happy to assist with!
Then continue to an area filled with water palms and coconut trees, learning about the history of this part of Hoi An.
Round off the adventure with a scenic boat trip back to Hoi An, savouring a fresh seafood lunch on board. (L)
