Half day Bike through Hoi An Countryside
This pleasant ride gives the cyclist a fantastic sampling of the countryside in Vietnam, meandering through rice paddies, across rivers, and through small villages. The riding is flat,fresh and fun. We head well off of the beaten track and get the tires dirty.
This ride starts right from your hotel in Hoi An then bike through the old town before passing the bridge to Cam Kim Island.
Once on the island we start biking through small villages and rice paddies on a narrow roads. Boat making can be seen right from the trail as many of the local fishing vessels are made here.
After visiting The Wooden Caving Village, we ride on this island for about an hour before reaching to Tra Nhieu village. From here the scenery opens up and the countryside becomes more rustic. The road remains flat throughout this section of the ride as we pass by duck farms, pass to old pagodas and see farmers work with their buffalos in the paddi field.
After 30 minutes or so on the trails we stop at a local family, where we have rest and have chance to learn to make some of traditonal Vietnamese foods: Banh Xeo, Mi Quang, Banh Trang. With lots of fun, friendly and honest family, you will have a enjoying, relaxing and great time to commmunicate with local people in this place.
After the break, we keep biking around this village on small trails, stop to see people make sleeping matt from cyberus, the Whale Temple which their bones inside before taking a boat back to Hoi An. Don’t forget to enjoy fresh air, great view during 30 minutes on the local boat on the way back.
The trip finishes when we’re in Hoi An Boat Station, near by the Old Town Center, guides and driver will take you back to hotel by van.
